About the Founder
Marc Adler, Esq.
President
As a healthcare compliance attorney, Marc has assisted hundreds of life sciences manufacturers by serving as their designated Chief Compliance Officer or managing specific compliance program and reporting functions. In addition to overseeing a range of outsourced compliance functions—such as policy and procedure implementation, training, and auditing and monitoring—Marc is a recognized leader in state drug price transparency (SPTR) and spend transparency ("Sunshine") reporting. He has served as the lead subject matter expert supporting over 100 reporting clients around the world. Moreover, Marc provides guidance on a variety of compliance and healthcare fraud and abuse matters, including anti-bribery laws, government reporting, and the use of data to prevent and detect misconduct.
Marc routinely engages with regulatory and enforcement agencies to provide interpretive guidance to the industry. He frequently publishes and presents on compliance topics, serving as faculty for the Seton Hall University School of Law Healthcare Compliance Certification Program and as a co-author of the American Health Lawyers Association Compliance Manual. As a published author, Marc has also received numerous awards for his writings on the healthcare industry.
Prior to founding Global Compliance Strategies, Marc led the Healthcare Compliance Service division at one of the largest healthcare service companies in the world. Before that, he was the first employee of a start-up compliance consulting and technology firm focused on life sciences compliance and reporting. He was integral in growing that business, culminating in the firm's multimillion-dollar acquisition. Marc graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law with a concentration in Health Law and received his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University. Marc lives in New Jersey with his wife and two endlessly entertaining children.
